What Is the ILA Grant?
The ILA Grant is a funding initiative that empowers innovative projects, programs, and learning experiences to improve literacy instruction. Whether you’re a teacher, a nonprofit leader, or an educational innovator, this grant provides the resources to turn your vision into reality.
Who can apply?
All Indiana Literacy Association/Indiana Association for Adult and Continuing Education members are eligible. ILA Board members are not eligible.
What Does the Grant Cover?
Recipients will receive funding in increments of up to $1,000, which can be used for:
- Project or program development
- Educational tools and resources for literacy instruction
- Activities that enhance literacy instruction
How to Apply
To apply for the ILA Grant, applicants must complete an online application form detailing their project’s goals, timeline, and anticipated impact. Be prepared to include the following information:
- Name of Lead Applicant
- IRS Determination Letter (for organizations)
- Type of Grant
- Project/Program Description
- Explanation of How the Project/Program Improves Literacy Instruction
- Timeline for the Proposed Project/Program
- Breakdown of Expenditures (Budget and Narrative)
- Success Evaluation Plan
- Partner List
- Letters of Support
- Applicant’s Name, Phone, and Email
